History of the site
The land where the arboretum is located is property of Government of Navarra who gave to Gestion Ambiental de Navarra S.A. the permission to install one of the arboreta in this site. This site is an agronomical land with cereal crops. Before the plantation, in 2011 the last crop cultivated was oats. This site was chosen because these plots are used to experimentation and research. The conditions of the place provide the visits and outreach activities because the access is very good and it is near Pamplona. It was important also, the location of the site since it is in a climatic transition area which makes it different from other nearby arboreta.Publications related to the site
